Who I am as a professional:
I have worked in various accounting and financial focused roles for over seven years. Most recently I worked at PKF Texas, a public accounting firm with a focus in Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Oil & Gas taxation. I was involved in preparing various federal and state tax returns for business entities and for high-net-worth individuals.
I am a licensed CPA in the state of Texas and hold a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Houston Baptist University.
On a personal level
I am a husband, a father, a native Houstonian, and a die-hard Texans fan. I enjoy new challenges and some of my most recent goals include starting this business and training for a triathlon.
Like many of you, my journey to starting a business was not streamlined. For me, it started back when I was in my early teenage years helping my mom set up her utility bills online so that she didn't have to wait in line at the grocery store with everyone else. I enjoyed helping her and learning about personal finances. In college, I learned that I enjoyed the psychology aspect of business, which is why I have a BBA in Management, but knew I had to find a way to sharpen my technical skills if I ever wanted to help people on a higher level. After reviewing my options, the CPA exam seemed like the best way to achieve my goal... and so the journey began.
I believe there is more to life than working to live, but rather enjoying it and those around you.
